METEC Field Tests
We conducted real-field testing at METEC (Methane Emissions Technology Evaluation Center) at Colorado State University - Foothill. This facility is at the forefront of methane emissions reduction, and is used by companies including Shell and Honeywell. SPIRo achieved an accuracy of 95% through its field trials, outperforming existing emissions detection solutions and proving the efficacy of our innovative approach to gas leak detection.
IEEE Publications and a Patent Pending Design
Details regarding the design of the hardware and machine learning architecture have been published in two international IEEE conferences, and we won the Best Paper Award at the ICMI conference. Our solution is also currently patent pending.

Science Fairs
Our project won second place overall at the Northern California Region Junior Science and Humanities Symposium. We were also one of just 98 projects across the nation selected to give an oral presentation at the national symposium. We won 2nd award in category at the Synopsys Science Fair, as well as an IEEE special award.
